Direct exposure to UV light or the usage of tanning machines to get a tan isn’t a smart option. As cases of skin cases grew the entire cosmetic industry then came up with self tanning products and a flood of new products came to the market. Tanning beds, self tan lotions, tanning sprays, tanning airbrushes and the lesser known and newest self tanning towelettes.

Tanning Beds or Lotions?

Tanning beds are dangerous due to the amount and concentration of UV rays all over your body, lotions are popular but will give you a horrible looking orange glow and is a mess to apply.

Airbrush Tanning

Airbrushing is also like applying lotion except the tanning salon will apply your body with an airbrush for an even coating.

The disadvantage of airbrush tanning is that the cosmetic bronzer will stain your clothes and you have to make sure you exfoliate thoroughly beforehand to get an even tan application.

After you’ve had the tan, there are also many restrictions. You can not exfoliate for 1 week, no rags, loofas, anything with beads in it, sea salt, scrubs, toners, astringents - especially when it comes to the face, because the face is always the first thing to fade

Self Tanning Towelettes

Considering all of the above and how I needed some color to my overly white complexion, I started using tanning wipes and loved it. Quick, easy, convenient and the results were excellent.

With this, I decided to bring the tanning towels to the US due to the lack of products. Other companies claim that you can tan your entire body with 1 tanning towel but that is impossible. You need at least 2 for your entire body.

So these companies are selling a pack of 10-15 where you have to use 2-3 towels each time. You’ll be burning through the towels at that rate. This is why the self tan towels at VANYA comes in packs of 30.

Honest Reviews

If you press too hard while applying on your body, it may cause unwanted spots.
Make sure to wear a vinyl globe or wash your hands right after applying your body. It stains your palm.
I had to apply twice to see the result.
I’ve scrubbed my body. But the result is weak. I guess I have to use a few more times and see how it goes.
My body is spotted. Maybe I missed some areas when applying.
The color faded off while playing in the swimming pool. I was so embarrassed.
Others said the smell is good. Not for me.

So results will vary for everyone and if you don’t wipe it on properly some areas may be darker or lighter. However 30 sheets at an affordable price will take you a long way.
