Late Nights, Night Shift Work and Skin Care Secrets

Staying up all night is a shortcut to ruining your skin. If you work late nights or have midnight or night shifts, no matter how much you sleep during the day, you will still feel tired and with your daily schedule upside down, I’ll guess that your skin condition isn’t that great or as good as it used to be.

However, we need to do whatever it takes to put food on the table when times are tough or when you need that extra money. So I’ve collected testimonials from women who work late night shifts where they share their skin care know hows to maintain elastic, hydrated and beautiful skin.

1. How to Get Rid of Dark Circles

Skin around the eyes is very sensitive and is first place that reacts to fatigue and stress by building up of melanin pigments which causes dark circles.

Eye cream, green tea teabag, eye masks are the ones that I often use. After cleansing my face, I gently pat the areas around my eyes with essence in order to increase blood circulation activity.

Simple stretching also helps with active blood circulation and can be effective for dark circles.

However, the best method ever is to put a green tea teabag over my eyes for about 15 minutes. Also try avoiding spicy and salty food.

2. Facial Mask Sheets for Face Skin Care

I have dry skin. Keratin on my face has bothered me for a long time and since my schedule is busy from 11am to 2am, I really don’t have time for skin care but I wanted to look for a solution that really worked.

I personally don’t enjoy spending too much money on pampering myself. Instead of going for a spa massage, I found facial mask sheets. It’s convenient, soothes the skin, hydrates and restores dry skin.

After 15-20 minutes, my skin was moist and clear. I am a regular user now and would recommend it to anyone looking for the best facial mask or facial care.

3. Exfoliate Before Moisturizing

Since I have excessively oily skin, I cannot apply many products.

Due to my working shift, day and nights are switched and my face has always been “puffy” and swollen and does not absorb cosmetics very well.

I tried to use moisturizer creams and peeling off massages but the one that worked the best for me were facial mask sheets.

I love anti-acne, green tea, and Aloe Vera facial masks the most. They truly soothe, hydrate and calm down my oily skin and help to clean the impurities.

4. Drinking Water is Best for Sensitive Skin

The repetitive irregular life style of a photographer caused intestinal and  stomach problems and my skin became very sensitive. I received professional treatments from dermatologists and used several cosmetic products but in the end, the best treatment was to rest and relax.

I drink at least 10 glasses of water every day with aloe juice. Simple solutions but it helped my sensitive skin to become healthy.

5. Green Tea Teabag for Acne

I always had skin concerns related to red spots and keratin. The best skin care method for me was to receive treatment from dermatologists. However, regular visits to the dermatology costs more than I can actually afford.

So I changed to homemade skin care solutions. Applying two or three green tea teabags or a green tea facial mask is an excellent method of home skin care.

6. Steam Towel during Winter

My skin is dry and sensitive so I did not like the winter. But I found that steamed towels worked better than moisturizing creams for me.

After applying a steamed towel on my face for 1-2 minutes, I apply essence and my face is soft and supple.
