What are facial mask sheets?
A facial mask can be of several types - cream type facial masks usually purchased in tubes or containers, peel off facial masks and paper face masks also known as mask sheets.

A paper facial mask is literally a soft layer of cottom cut in the form of a mask soaked in different types of nutrients and ingredients. There is a diverse range of masks available where each one performs a special function. Masks also contain special ingredients for skin care. E.g. a seaweed mask is full of minerals, a lemon or orange mask contains vitamins to whiten and provide nutrients, aloe vera face masks sooth the skin and so on.

These facial masks can be used by both men and women of all ages but generally, people the age of 18 and up tend to use it the most. Masks are applied after you wash your face and left on for a duration of 15-20 minutes.

What does a facial mask sheet do?

How do I use the facial mask?
Tap the pouch 2 or 3 times before opening the packet to mix the highly concentrated ingredients.
1. Wash your face completely.
2. Take the cotton mask sheet out of the packet and position it on your face. Spread the mask evenly over your face and spread with your fingers.
3. The highly concentrated ingredients will begin to absorb immediately upon application. Leave on for around 20 minutes.
4. Remove mask and if there are leftover ingredients remaining on your face, massage it into your skin.

How often do I use the mask?
Based on your skin condition, it is recommended that you use a mask 1-3 times a week.

Are face mask ingredients 100% natural?
Our products use natual ingredients but they are not 100% natural or organic. No skin care product is 100% organic or natural. They all need a tiny amount of preservatives in order to keep it useful. Otherwise, the products would perish shortly after the first use.

Cosmetic companies claiming their products are "all natural" are marketing tricks. The FDA does not control the contents of labels in cosmetic industry so many companies (big and small) leave out most of the ingredients that consumers should really know about. At VANYA we list every ingredient that goes into the product because we want you to be aware. Your skin is very important to you and us.

The highest percentage of natural ingredients contained in cosmetic products is 70% according to the German Organic Food Association (BOECW). Our Calme face mask contains 60% of organic ingredients while other products contain more than 50% of natural ingredients.

To date, there have been no reports of any side effects. However, please make sure that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients. Face masks should also not be applied to broken, bleeding and severly inflamed skin.

3 years from the date of manufacture.

Can facial masks be used to treat skin conditions?
No. Facial masks are used to nourish, moisturize and improve the quality of your skin. It is not a drug, medicine or skin care treatment.

Why should I use VANYA self tanning products?
We carry only the highest quality products with the best results. Our Golden Active Sunshine self tanning tissues contain 6.5% of DHA while other products only contain 5%. A higher DHA prodcues darker results and a liquid formula developed in Switzerland is added to the product to prevent uneven results.

Do tanning towels contain any coloring agents?
No. DHA is the ingredient that will give you a tan.

How does it function?
DHA reacts with dead cells in the outermost layer of the skin which darken the skin's appearance temporarily. It is like a cut apple turning to brown as it is subjected to oxygen.

Does self tanning look natural?
Sunless tanning looks natural without leaving any ugly orange discoloration.

How long does the tan last?
Average 7 days. After 3-4 days, the color starts to fade. If you wish to maintain the color longer, you may do so by re-applying.

Does the tan come off if I swim after application?
The color does not come off right away. However, frequent swimming may shorten the duration of how long the tan lasts.

Can I remove the tan myself instead of waiting for it to naturally go away?
Unfortunately, there is no solution for this question. However, we are in the process of developing products to resolve this.

Should I exfoliate my body before use?
It is recommended that you exfoliate your body before use for the best results but our self tanning product contains an exfoliatant.

How long does it take to dry?
Less than 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, you don't have to worry about staining your clothes. It goes on clear and does not leave a stain unlike airbrush tanning.

Do tanning towels stain or mark clothes? Can I wear white dresses after use?
Once it is completely dry, it won't stain your clothes. However, keratin may stain your clothes. In order to prevent keratin from staining your clothes, we recommend that you exfoliate your body first.

Do tanning towels leave an odor?
Our tanning towels have a refreshing citrus fragance. There are no odors.

Can I apply it on my face safely?
Yes. It is perfectly safe for you to apply the tanning wipes to your face.

How often should I apply to get a darker tan?
To get a darker tan, you will need to apply several times. For darker results, apply after at least 3-4 hours of your first application. You can continue using the self tanning tissue as long as it is moist.

How do I apply the self tan wipes evenly?
Elbows, knees and ankles may produce darker results than other areas so wipe these areas less than places. Try to apply as even as possible and check the results after 6-8 hours. If you see any uneven spots, touch up on that area.

Do tanning towels stain my palms?
Yes, it stains your palms. Wash your hands right after applying.

Can I shower or exercise after applying the product?
It is not recommended to take a shower or exercise within 5-6 hours of the application.

Does it provide sun protection?
No, this product does not contain sun protective ingredients. After applying a self tanning towel, apply sunscreen. We also sell sunscreen wipes for your convenience.

Are there any side effects? Allergic reactions reported?
No. The ingredients in this product have been approved in the USA and Germany.

How many tissues are used to apply the whole body?
It depends on each individual but an average of 4-5 sheets are used.

When does it expire?
A closed package lasts about 2 years from the manufactured date. Once the product is opened, it lasts for 6 months to 1 year.

What is its function? How effective is it?
a) Protects from UV rays and has a Germanium effect. SPF 40, PA++ and contains germanium to provide UV protection, anti-aging and skin protection.
b) Convenient to wipe on sunscreen anywhere anytime rather than massaging cream. Great to take outdoors, in the car, hiking, at the beach etc.

What advantage do wipes have over normal sunscreen?
Sunblock wipes function better than sunscreen lotion. It is easy to apply, clean and applies evenly and quickly.
Don't worry about smudging your makeup anymore.

How long does it last?
About 10 hours. However, if you get wet or sweat, you should re-apply every 90-100 minutes.

Are there any side effects or allergic reactions?
There have been no reports of side effects or allergic reactions to date.

Can I apply sunscreen wipes on my face?
Yes, it iis perfectly safe to apply on your face.

Do I need to dry after using sunscreen towelettes?
There is no need to dry. Once you apply it, it dries immediately.

How many sunscreen wipes do I need to use?
For your face, neck and shoulders, 1 sunscreen wipe is enough. 1 sunscreen wipe should cover most of your upper body.
